Amazon is set to unveil its first smartphone today.

Critics and consumers have high expectations for Amazon as the online retail giant is set to announce its alleged 3D smartphone at a launching event today to battle head on with other smartphones in the market.

However, the retail giant confirmed that there will be no live stream of the launch but a video of the mystery device will be available hours after its unveiling, according to IBT. Details will be posted soon.

The company will be holding its event in Seattle that resurrected rumors that the company is working on a 3D smartphone.

Jeff Bezos, Amazon's chief executive, will host the launch event.

In a teaser video posted by Amazon, the people are awed by an unknown thing and expressed surprise on what they have seen. Some people said that they have never seen anything like it before and they do not know how it was done. Another person said that the technology is quite intuitive.

Meanwhile, Amazon refused to reveal more details about the mystery product. Fans anticipate the mystery product as the online retailer has a good track record when it comes to its devices like the head-turning Kindle and Kindle Fire HD as well as the Fire TV. 

The Wall Street Journal and Bloomberg reported that Amazon will reveal a 3D smartphone that will deliver a 3D experience right at the user's fingertips.

The 3D feature of the device implies it can move with the user as you tilt your head. It is unknown whether users will love or hate the 3D feature. There are rumors that the 3D feature will be an inconvenience to the user. Consumers will know more details about the rumored device if it is indeed announced today.
