Just as the speculations suggested in the past, Amazon has come up with a brand new tablet for watching series and movies, the Fire HD 10. The new product certainly has the ability to deliver when it comes the sole purpose of providing entertainment.

In a report by Android Community, the Fire HD 10 does not compare to the tablets of Apple in terms of utility and functionality. However, it is definitely a tablet that is much more affordable, which makes it a potentially good buy for a basic tablet. The dimensions of Amazon's latest tablet is at 10.1 inches, with a 1080p full high definition display, a MediaTek powered 1.8GHz processor, and 2GB of random access memory (RAM).

There are currently two variants for the tablet, with a 32GB or 64GB storage capacity that can be further upgraded with a microSD card. According to Pocket-Lint, the tablet will come with a VGA front camera for selfie purposes. This feature is nowhere near the standard of today's gadgets, but is a bonus feature nonetheless considering that the main purpose of the Fire HD 10 is for entertainment.

Tablets have been described by Digital Trends to be not as popular and in demand in the technology market as they used to be in the past. However, the Fire HD 10 is still a decent option. The design is sleek and simple, but is slightly thicker than most tablets, which means users will not be able to browse with just one hand. In terms of the sound quality of the Fire HD 10, users might opt for headphones instead, since the speakers leave more to be desired.

The Fire HD 10 is still a far cry if it is looking to stand up to the competition, but is certainly one that deserves some attention. With its relatively low price at $150 and decent specs, it provides a good option for those who are on a tight budget.
