'American Horror Story' season 4 spoilers: Villans to be Twisty the Clown, Edward Mondrake

Fans are waiting with pins and needles for the debut of "American Horror Story" season 4, scheduled to take place on Oct. 8. As the premiere of the new season inches closer, the network and showrunner have dropped teasers and spoilers hinting on the line-up and the plot of the series.

Spoilers reveal that the fourth season of "American Horror Story" will feature some of the most vicious villains ever featured on the small screen.  A lot of fans are intrigued about the antagonists in the new season, including two villains currently listed to stop the leads on their tracks.

One of the villains in the series is Twisty the Clown, to be played by John Caroll Lynch. Show creator Ryan Murphy said Twisty will be an epitome of an evil clown. Coulrophobics (people with fear of clowns) should refrain from watching the upcoming fourth season of "American Horror Story: Freak Show" as the TV series will feature "the most terrifying" twisted clown. Murphy added that Twisty scared away a third of the crew during filming.

Another villain to grace the series is Edward Mondrake. The third and fourth episodes are entitled "Edward Mordrake Pt.1" and "Edward Mordrake Pt.2." The two episodes will explore the background of the character, who is also referred to as "Poor Edward". He will be born with a deformity. According to spoilers, Edward Mondrake will have another face on the back of his head, which is referred to as his twin.

Meanwhile, the premiere of the hit suspense TV show, entitled "Monsters Among Us," will feature one of the few surviving freak shows in the country struggling to stay in business, battling with the emergence of new forms of entertainment like the television. A bizarre news at a local farmhouse will catch the attention of ringmaster Elsa Mars (Jessica Lange), as she thinks it could potentially salvage her show.
