"American Horror Story" just finished its successful season 4 run. "Freak Show" ended with sky-rocketing ratings, and fans are now looking forward to hearing the latest news about what the hit horror series will feature next. 

There are talks that "AHS" star Jessica Lange will not return for the fifth season, but another remarkable actress could possibly come back in the next installment of the hit horror series. Kathy Bates, the actress who portrayed the role of Ethel Darling in Ryan Murphy's horror TV series, was previously asked by a fan on Twitter if she will appear in season five.

The actress said, ""@targrayen: @MsKathyBates Are you gonne be part of AHS season 5????" Time will tell! Stay tuned #AHS fans." 

Maybe Bates really has no idea if Murphy will invite her to join the cast of the next "American Horror Story" installment, or if she is just asked to be discreet about giving out information about it by the show's executives. However, it is clear that the actress is willing to join the cast of "AHS" season five if she was asked. 

Meanwhile, the entire "AHS" family is mourning the passing of actor Ben Woolf. The 34-year-old actor died Monday after he suffered from stroke following a motor vehicle accident. 

Woolf, who portrayed the iconic role of Meep in "AHS: Freak Show" and Infantata in "AHS: Murder House," was hit by a car mirror on Friday while walking in Los Angeles. He was earlier confined in critical condition, but his health later improved to "critical but stable," until his vital stats turned to worse before he passed away early this week. 

"AHS" series creator Ryan Murphy expressed his grief via Twitter, saying, "RIP Ben Woolf. One of the most inspirational people I've ever met." 

Bates also tweeted about her late co-star, saying, "Dear Ben, Yours was a sweet and gentle soul. 'May flights of angels sing thee to thy rest.'"
