Taissa Farmiga makes a comeback in "American Horror Story" season 6 in her most mature and terrifying role ever. Aside from Farmiga, a few dead characters are anticipated to return for a haunting in the next episodes of "Roanoke."

Previously in "American Horror Story: Roanoke," several cast members have brutally died while the remaining ones are struggling to survive. Rory (Evan Peters) was the first to be eliminated, followed by Sydney (Cheyenne Jackson). His crew was then disemboweled, and after some time they all died too.

The cannibal Polks — headed by actor Finn Wittrock — has taken Audrey (Sarah Paulson), Monet (Angela Bassett), and Lee (Adina Porter) captive, but it seems that there's more terror to come their way.

E! News confirmed that Farmiga will return in "American Horror Story: Roanoke," but her character has been kept under wraps. A tweet from the AHS Leaks account revealed that Farmiga will have her "most adult and terrifying" comeback in "American Horror Story: Roanoke."

Based on her previous role in "American Horror Story: Coven," Farmiga is anticipated to appear as the Supreme witch, a counterpart to Scathach – played by Lady Gaga – as the Original Supreme and Witch of the Woods.

It is an ongoing trend for the "American Horror Story" series that the souls of the dead have one night to crossover into the human world to terrorize people.

According to the Inquisitr, it is possible that Agnes (Kathy Bates) will return after being graced by the real Butcher of her death. It is also anticipated that Rory's ghost will be returning since Farmiga will be showing herself soon in season 6.

In the previous seasons of "American Horror Story," Peters and Farmiga's characters always had a special connection, which sparks speculations that it will be the same in "Roanoke."

"American Horror Story: Roanoke" airs every Wednesday at 10 p.m. EDT on FX.
