"American Idol" is currently running its fifteenth season and the last one, but according to competition show judge, Harry Connick, Jr., there may still be hope for another season.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, the 48-year-old musician admitted that he believes that "American Idol" will continue past this season, but it will be aired in a different network.

Running for more than 10 years, the music competition has garnered a strong fan base that Connick said, "I wouldn't doubt it if it found a new life somewhere else at some point."

Meanwhile, last week's episode featured Hollywood Week's Group Rounds on Thursday, in which all the contestants were grouped together to give out a harmonious performance. The singers need to give a new twist to the song, make their voices stand out, but not so much that other members' voices will be overpowered.

There were some of the best performing groups while there were also those who gave out the worst performances of the week. There were also members who left the group, putting it in jeopardy. Notably, Shelbie Z and Poh Scott left their respective groups. The latter said she's not ready for the competition.

As expected, the Group Rounds put so much pressure on everyone who also had less amount of sleep.

Favorites from the audition week continue to impress the judges. Jenn Blosil, Gianna Isabella, Jenna Renae, Lee Jean, and Jeneve Rose Mitchell are just among the contestants who gave an outstanding performance.

There were also a lot of hopefuls who said goodbye to their dreams and got sent home. They include Drew Angus, John Arthur Greene, Alesana Tolai, Joe Dahman, Olivia Thai, Joseph Hendricks, Bryson Dunn, and Zach Joseph, among others.

"American Idol" farewell season will return for more performances and axing on Feb. 3 at 8 p.m. EST on FOX, and again same time on Feb. 4 for the revelation of the Top 24.
