With NBC's "America's Got Talent" season 9 heading for its finale this coming week, the contestants have gone through one more phase in the competition before a winner is to be crowned. Last Tuesday, the reality talent show had put forward its episode for the Top 12's performances, as IB Times has recapped.

Appearing in front of the four judges – Howie Mandel, former Spice Girl Mel B, Howard Stern, and supermodel Heidi Klum – were the last 12 standing performers, namely: AcroArmy, Blue Journey, Christian Stoinev, David and Leeman, Emily West, Emil and Dariel, Mike Super, Miguel Dakota, Mat Franco, Mara Justine, Quintavious Johnson, and Sons of Serendip.  

The following Wednesday night, the results of their performances were revealed, with the "Snapple Save" being introduced as a new rule. It allows the show's viewers to cast their votes for their favorite performers. This adds in extra help for contestants who are in need of saving during the show, especially the crowd favorites.

Brilliant performances included those of Mara Justine who kicked off the show with her rendition of Pink's "Perfect". Magicians David and Leeman also exhibited a smart lottery ticket trick, while Sons of Serendip delivered their take on Duran Duran's "Ordinary World."

Extreme hand balancer Christian Stoinev also made an appearance with Scooby as he did his shocking stunts, while cellists Emil and Daniel carried out their rendition of "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing" by Aerosmith.

The other performances include: AcroArmy's acrobatic routine; child singer Quintavious Johnson's take on Mary J. Blige's "I'm Going Down;" Mike Super's entertaining magic trick that involved show host Nick Cannon; dance duo Blue Journey's unique act; Emily West's performance of the "Knights in White Satin" by Moody Blues; close-up magician Mat Franco's "fabulous" act; and Miguel Dakota's cover of "Gimme Shelter" by Rolling Stones.  These were all applauded by the judges, and the panel had a difficult time making a decision on who moves on to the final phase of the competition. 

Cannon made the announcement that Emil & Dariel, Miguel Dakota, and Sons of Serendip have been qualified for the Snapple Save.  The quartet won and was saved, being the viewers' ultimate favorite.

Miguel Dakota was also chosen by the judges to continue on to the "America's Got Talent" season 9 finals.

All in all, the final performers who will be moving on for their final performance and may stand a chance as the ninth season's winner are: Emily West; AcroArmy; Quintavious Johnson; Mat Franco; Sons of Serendip; and Miguel Dakota.

The final round for "America's Got Talent" season 9 will be airing on Sept. 16, Tuesday, on NBC.
