Gamers and collectors are now eyeing the amiibo Wave 5 and, needless to say, the competition will yet again be insanely fierce as fans do their best just to see the new array on their shelves and in their games. Unfortunately, little is known about these nuggets.

Thanks to ardent Reddit users, fresh details about the new lineup of figurines have been unearthed, including the possibility of four exclusive ones being saved by Nintendo. A Reddit user shared a photo of a booth in Best Buy that shows Zero Suit Samus, Ganondorf, Pikmin and Olimar and two Yarn Yoshis "coming soon." This means that figurines of Dr. Mario, Bowser Jr., Palutena and Dark Pit aren't coming with them. 

This has led more gamers and Reddit users to believe that the latter will be exclusives. The absence of the same pack of four figurines on other retailers' databases strengthens the claim. However, until Nintendo says so, this claim remains as a rumor. 

In other amiibo Wave 5-related news, Attack of the Fanboy brings up the oddity of the weird split-up of the new wave of figurines. There will be two coming out in July (Dark Pit and Palutena), and five in September (Ganondorf, Zero Suit Samus, Olimar, Dr. Mario and Bowser Jr.). This, however, ultimately begs the question of when the statuettes will be available for pre-order. 

There is no way of knowing until, presumably, the Electronic Entertainment Expo where Nintendo is expected to drop details about amiibo Wave 5. The Nintendo Digital Event on June 16 is also likely to touch on the possible announcement of the specific release dates or pre-order availabilities of the wave. At the moment, it is best for fans to keep an eye out on the Nintendo Direct release date announcement because it is likely that other retailers will announce a pre-order date for theirs.
