Aspiring country singer Amy Duggar King had an "emotional rollercoaster" back in 2015, and the highs and lows she encountered that year all had something to do with love and marriage.

First, she got engaged to her then boyfriend Dillon King last July. They eventually got married in September.

That same month brought shocking news concerning one of her cousins, Josh Duggar, the son of Jim Bob and Michelle.

Josh admitted having cheated on his wife Anna when his paid accounts at the adultery website Ashley Madison were revealed following a hacking incident.

Amy was in total disbelief how her cousin, who has been raised in a conservative Christian family, could violate the sanctity of marriage. The revelation was extremely difficult for her to take given the fact that she was about to enter into marriage herself at that time.

"I knew nothing of the molestation charges, and I had no idea what the Ashley Madison site even was. I was completely shocked just like the rest of the world; the only difference was I was being fitted for my wedding dress with tears running down my face and a glass of wine in my hand as the news broke," she wrote on her blog.

"I wondered what the heck was going on. A million questions flooded my mind. Rage came over me, sadness crept in, and reality sat in that the person I had known my entire life turned out to be a fraud, and a complete stranger. I've always heard that there were people in this world that lived a double life, but I never thought that someone so close to home would be living a lie," she added.

Amy felt so grateful that Anna still attended her wedding even though it must have been so hard for her to be there. The newlywed gave Anna a huge hug right before she walked down the aisle and even left her a sweet note.

"It was so special that they came to support our marriage," Amy said. "Anna and I have gotten a lot closer this year. I'm grateful for that family love/friendship."
