Anderson Silva shows support for fallen Ronda Rousey after UFC 193 KO loss to Holly Holm

If there is one person in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) who knows how it is to fall and work his way back to the top, Anderson "Spider" Silva is certainly one of them.

Silva knows how it feels to be at the top and how it pains one to fall from fame. He experienced such when he was riding high on a 10-fight winning streak after defeating Vitor Belfort at UFC 126. Then Chris Weidman came and stopped all that.

He would get a rematch but suffer a worse fate, breaking a leg and being forced out of UFC action for quite some time to recuperate.

He made a comeback earlier this year only to be nullified and suspended for a year for using banned substances. His suspension will, however, be lifted soon but no one knows what the 40-year old has planned to do next.

He sees the same path for Ronda Rousey, although the former UFC women's bantamweight champion is far younger than him at just 28 years old.

In all, Spider believes that all things happen for a reason and that Rousey will eventually return for something bigger. He fetes Rousey as a great champion and certainly her loss to Holm is only a minor setback that she needs to overcome. His Instagram message can be found here.

True enough, Rousey had been doing great, although she may have overcooked it a bit by overlooking Holly Holm who had good credentials heading into UFC 193. Holm's silence was strange, but it all eventually led to something Rousey's fans had feared. She was focused and seemingly had nothing to lose.

So now, Rousey tries to pick up the pieces and it may take some time for her to stand up and regain her composure. Such is understandable but being the champion and competitor that she is, Rousey is expected to weather the adversities she is facing right now and be back on track.

She has time to heal and besides, she did plan to take some time off. The only difference is that her loss will spoil her respite, although she could use her break to reflect and see how she can recover and even the score, possibly at UFC 200 if UFC President Dana White does set that expected rematch with Holm.
