The rumoured Android 4.4.3 Kitkat OS was reported to arrive in Nexus 4, 5, 7, 10 and to Google Play Edition devices this month.

According to Android Geeks, some of the devices that will soon receive the upcoming version of Kitkat OS are Google Nexus 4, Nexus 5, Nexus 7 2012 and 2013, Nexus 10, Samsung Galaxy S4 GPE, HTC One GPE, HTC One M8 GPE, Sony Xperia Z GPE, and Sony Xperia Z Ultra GPE.

Aside from the Nexus and GPE devices, some HTC smartphones are also among the first smartphones to receive the third version of Kitkat OS. According to a recent blog post of HTC developer LlabTooFeR, HTC One M8 and HTC One M7 handsets will also be among the first devices to get the 4.4.3 Kitkat.

In the past weeks, 4.4.3 Kitkat OS was spotted in various devices. There were rumours that the firmware was spotted in an Xperia Z Ultra. Motorola is also testing the update for their 2013 flagship device and a benchmark specifications listing 4.4.3 on the alleged Moto X+1 emerged online.

Despite boasting a smoother and more stable performance than Jelly Bean, there were minor complaints on the 4.4 Kitkat OS, which made its debut back in November 2013. The search engine giant responded by releasing two major updates shortly after to fix the bugs. However, there were issues still needed to be addressed.

Users complained of the camera and battery issues when they installed the current 4.4.2 version. It was rumoured that the successor will bring 36 bug fixes in tow. However, Google has not released the official changelog of the firmware yet and has not announced which bugs the 4.4.3 Kitkat OS update are planning to fix.

As usual Google remained tight-lipped about the updates until it pushes the update to AOSP and start their initial batch of OTA updates. Moreover, Google seemed to be working on other parts of the business to announce anything this early.
