Android 4.4.3 Kitkat OS update will be coming to Nexus 5, 4, 7 and 10 on May 23.

Android Geeks cited an unnamed source who confirmed that Nexus devices will finally receive Android 4.4.3 Kitkat OS this month. Google will start rolling out the update by the end of this month and consumers can expect the update to arrive on Google Play Edition devices soon.

The changelog of the said update leaked last week that included some changes and fixes to the bugs incurred by the 4.4.2 Kitkat OS. The changelog also hinted that Taiwanese manufacturer HTC will make the Nexus 8 tablet.

However, while Google fans are waiting for the 4.4.3 Kitkat update, the company was reportedly working on an entirely new software, dubbed as Android 4.5 Lollipop, set to be released at Google's I/O Conference in June.

Android 4.4.3 Kitkat OS update will also arrive to Android-based smartphones after Nexus and GPE handsets received the firmware. HTC devices were rumored to receive the said update soon. According to a recent blog post of HTC developer LlabTooFeR, HTC One M8 and HTC One M7 handsets will also be among the first devices to get the 4.4.3 Kitkat.

Android 4.4 Kitkat OS debuted in November 2013 and although the Kitkat OS boasted a smooth and stable performance, there were minor complaints on the update. The search engine giant released two major updates in order to fix bugs. However, there were still issues needed to be addressed. Users complained of the camera and battery issues when they installed the current 4.4.2 version. It was rumored that the 4.4.3 version will string along a total of 36 bug fixes.

However, Google has not officially announced the roll out of Android 4.4.3 Kitkat OS update as well as the lineup of its devices. The company was reportedly working on its devices – Nexus 6 and Nexus 8.
