Android 5.0 Lollipop update for Galaxy Note 4 announced by Verizon

Samsung Galaxy 4 Note owners who are under the Verizon umbrella will now be able to upgrade their device's Android OS to the highly coveted Android 5.0 Lollipop. This was announced by Verizon which has started to roll out the OTA update for its subscribers.

With the coming of the Android 5.0 Lollipop for the Samsung Galaxy Note 4, users will now be able to enjoy the fixes and improvements that the upgrade has to offer.

Among those improvements include support for VoLTE and Samsung's latest TouchWiz software which will reportedly be a better fit to Google's material design guidelines.

Galaxy Note 4 users can likewise look forward to improved visuals for their messages, contacts and gallery, all of which will have a new floating action button which some may have already seen from other devices which carry Google's Lollipop apps.

More features to look forward to include the return of the screen-lock notification, the Smart lock, and multitasking views. It is believed that Android 5.0 Lollipop will address battery life issues with the OTA update although this may be something to keep a close eye on considering the notoriety it has had for some other smartphones as reported online.

Aside from those mentioned, the Android 5.0 Lollipop will also give users the chance to use the Do Not Disturb mode while the camera apps will be adding the Slow Motion and Fast Motion modes as well. Those and a lot of new features are in store for people who can successfully apply the said patch.
