Sprint is the last major carrier in the United States to roll out Android 5.0 Lollipop to the LG G2. Verizon, T-Mobile and AT&T versions of the 2013 LG flagship already made their jump to the stock build of Google's new operating system.

Sprint's update on the LG G2, which was stuck with KitKat and Jellybean for quite a while, marks the handset's official switch to Android Lollipop. The update, which bears build number ZVG, brings a whole host of features and improvements on performance and stability of the device.

The biggest one is the Lollipop's new Material Design, which overhauls the interface of the LG G2 with bold colors and vivid animations. But the software brings focuses more than just the looks with its new Smart Lock feature, which syncs the handset to a trusted device like the user's own car.

Android 5.0 Lollipop also improves the lockscreen, which now has shortcuts for the Phone and Camera. LG G2 users will find it easier to add a contact of compose a text message with the new Floating Action Button, which gives easy access to an app's most important features.

The new Interruption setting from Android 5.0 Lollipop lets users set up priority notifications by designating sounds or vibrate to much more important reminders like events or phone calls while muting all others.

With Android 5.0 Lollipop, accessing the Recent app page in Chrome will be easier and the integration of the "OK Google" voice command shows more about Google's commitment to convenience and functionality.

Lastly, Lollipop promises to improve battery life by up to 90 minutes as it enhances connectivity and the "network selection logic." For those who have yet to get the update, manually check the settings of the phone to install it. Although a notification prompt should have popped up by now.
