Android 5.0 Lollipop update for Samsung Galaxy S5 shown in leaked video

Leaked Samsung Galaxy S5 with Android 5.0 Lollipop screengrabbed from SamMobile.SamMobile

After SamMobile offered a sneak peak of a running Android 5.0 Lollipop on a Samsung Galaxy S5 last October, the website once again posted a preview of the updated version of the Lollipop that runs in the fifth-generation of Samsung's flagship phone.

The latest two-minute leaked video shows that the base code of the Android 5.0 firmware has been updated to LRX02E from the LRW58J. However, it is noticeable that the word "Lollipop" to indicate the software branding is not yet used.  It instead shows the former "L" letter used to indicate that the software update had been changed to "5.0."

The following are the latest changes and new featured additions in the Galaxy S5 running the alleged Android 5.0 update:

  • New fingerprint lock screen similar to Note 4
  • New appearance for the system-wide font, which appears to be slightly thinner compared to the original
  • New animations that have a smoother appearance, as well as an additional screen off animation
  • Presence of the Google Search bar seen in the recents menu
  • The Brightness slider located in the notification center is given a new yellow color, with a few tweaks in its appearance.
  • The "Interruptions" has been removed from the Sound settings
  • The files in the Media Gallery can now be sorted with the use of new filters, such as Pets, Events, Scenery, Documents, Food, Vehicles and Flowers.
  • The Music folder is given a new UI.
  • The Navigation bar icons in the Clock folder now come with text.
  • The square grids in the Calculator folder that surrounded the numbers and symbols have been removed.
  • There is a new search box in the Contacts folder.
  • The applications that have been inspired by the stock Material Design now comes with a colored status bar.
  • The signature Android Lollipop's core green-colored icons are replaced with Samsung's iconic blue color.
  • The Settings folder is given new icon colors and improved user interface.
  • The home screen also has a new UI.
  • There is an improved spacing between the options in the power off dialog.

To date, there is no confirmed release schedule yet for the Samsung Galaxy S5 with updated Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system.
