Samsung's Galaxy S6 Duos may not be everywhere right now but those who were able to snag one from the limited number of markets it was made available in can now update it to the latest version of Google's mobile operating system, the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. 

In this dual-SIM version of the flagship, the update takes up 620 MB and it is currently rolling out over the air so a notification should have popped up on the handset by this time. Owners need to make sure that their Wi-Fi connection is stable and the phone is juiced up at least 50 percent. 

But for those who are still waiting for the notification, there is always a way to know the update's availability. They can go to Settings - About Device - Software Updates. Owners of the Samsung flagship variant can also turn to Samsung Kies to get a hold of the software to save time. 

According to GSM Arena, the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop rollout for the Samsung Galaxy S6 Duos is predominant in Dubai and the United Arab Emirates. It is still unclear when other users in other regions will get their turn but it wouldn't hurt checking it. As per Android Geeks, all S6 Duos units should be donning the update by end of July. 

The new version of the firmware aims to improve the stability and performance of the handset as it enhances its security. For more specific changes on the interface, the Quick Connect and S Finder toggles were removed from the notification shade. 

Thanks to Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, Samsung Galaxy S6 Duos owners can now control the shutter speed of the camera straight from the viewfinder. Sam Mobile notes that a third-party camera is needed to see how that works out, though. Also, users can enjoy the wallpaper parallax effect.
