Nexus owners can now enjoy running their devices with the latest Android operating system.

Early this week, Google announced that Android 5.1 Lollipop is already available for Nexus 4 and Nexus 5 smartphones as well as the 2013-released Nexus 7 tablet that were purchased through T-Mobile. In the website of the U.S. network carrier, the Web pages for all the devices claim that the over-the-air installation for the Android 5.1 Lollipop update is now available through Wi-Fi. 

Meanwhile, Sprint also announced on March 11 that owners of Nexus 6 phablets can update their devices with the new Android 5.1 Lollipop. However, the announcement also stated that the updates could be released in several stages, which means that some owners of Sprint's Nexus 6 may not see the arrival of the update for a couple of days. 

On the other hand, Android Authority stated that several tweaks have been included in the Quick Settings of the operating system. The changes include easier connection to Bluetooth and Wi-Fi devices without needing to go to the Settings app first, which means that users only need to tap down the arrow to be able to do that. Also, a new animation intended for the portrait mode toggle are featured. 

There are also Contacts app improvements in the new Android 5.1 Lollipop operation system, which include fixes on any color overlays on the images on the Contacts, the omission of using Google+ photos for the contacts tab, as well as other minor tweaks. There are also several animations, such as the four icons located at the top of the app for the Clock, as well as the Portrait/Landscape toggle that can be seen in the Quick Settings tab.
