More Motorola models are set to get an Android 6.0 Marshmallow update soon for select U.S. carriers.

The next device that could be getting the Android 6.0 M bump soon is the Moto X Pure Edition as announced by Motorola's Davis Schuster.

Schuster announced that the full deployment of the Android 6.0 M has started for mobile carriers like Sprint, US Cellular, and Verizon. Aside from that, he also gave word that another Motorola device — the Moto X Play — is currently undergoing a soak test period and could be released soon as well for owners located in Brazil and India.

This comes as good news for Motorola owners, particularly the ones with the 2015 Moto X Pure Edition. Despite being sold as an unlocked phone directly by the company, there were a lot of people who were dismayed at the release of updates for the said device.

It was initially reported via Android Central that only the three carriers are set to roll out the Android 6.0 M. However, it seems that AT&T will also be joining the party as announced on Google Plus by Schuster.

Hence, that leaves only one carrier who has yet to announce the rollout of the latest Android 6.0 M — T-Mobile.

With that said, Moto X Pure Edition owners may want to constantly check their phone settings just in case the OS update is already available for download. If ever, make sure that the device is using a stable Internet connection and is charged by at least 50% for the proper application of the latest Android patch.

The Android 6.0 Marshmallow update will feature a new Doze feature that should help improve battery life. Other new features include proper control of permission and security covering apps, Google's Now on Tap, better animations, and enhanced volume controls.
