Although HTC keeps on updating its fans on when they can expect updates to roll out to their devices, some can't help but still wonder when they are going to get it, particularly the newest Android platform. An alleged HTC schedule was recently posted online, allowing fans to have a look at HTC's plans for an Android 6.0 update.

According to CNET, the leak came from tipster @LlabTooFer, who recently collated speculations and unconfirmed schedules. The industry follower asked HTC for comment, but the company declined to issue any statement about the floating schedule.

According to the schedule, since HTC already rolled out Android Marshmallow for the One M8 Google Play Edition and unlocked versions, next in line are the more recent additions in their lineups. Indeed, it was already confirmed that HTC will be rolling out Android 6.0 for the unlocked and select carrier versions of the One M9 before the month ends, with the rest of the carrier-locked M9 (such as users in Canada) receiving the official OTA version early next year.

Meanwhile, the first quarter next year, according to the post, will see users of the One M9+ and One E8 receiving their Android 6.0 update. However, earlier versions of the flagship, such as the One M7, will not be receiving an Android M update, and will instead have Android 5.0.2 as their OTA platform version. It is unclear however, if flashing earlier iterations with an Android 6.0 build would be advisable for tech-savvy HTC One owners.

In addition to an unconfirmed Android 6.0 schedule, GottabeMobile reported that HTC was already delivering on its promise of prompt updates, at least 15 days after Google rolls out new Android versions for their Nexus devices.

According to the industry follower, Mo Versi's previous tweet hinted at the One A9 getting an Android 6.0.1 update before December ends. Meanwhile, as the unlocked One M9 was also targeted for a December Android M update, the industry observer surmised that the current iteration will also be the first in line to receive an Android 6.01 update early next year.
