More than a month after Google officially released its stock Android 6.0 Marshmallow ROM, more and more tech manufacturers are developing their versions of the new platform to update their devices with.

The latest to announce its intentions for an Android M rollout is Chinese tech manufacturer OnePlus.

In a post on the official company forum thread, a OnePlus staff member indicated that the China-based company is already hard at work developing their Android M versions for the three OnePlus flagships.

For the very first OnePlus iteration, the OnePlus One, the company will be implementing the Marshmallow update within the first few months of next year. Although the OnePlus One currently has the new OxygenOS platform, the first ones were originally shipped with a CyanogenMod OS with an Android Kitkat background. While waiting for the Marshmallow update, the OnePlus One's current OxygenOS build will also be updated soon.

Meanwhile, the newly released OnePlus Two is also set to receive its Marshmallow update early next year. Also in the works is the Android M update for OnePlus X.

The post also highlighted that one of the features that will be included in the Android 6.0 build for the new flagship is the Marshmallow API for the fingerprint sensor. The current sensor API built into the OnePlus Two's OxygenOS is a modded one made by the company, and some users have previously asked OnePlus to either remedy the issues with the sensor software, or build an update based on the most recent stock Android API.

Android 6.0 Marshmallow is the newest platform from Google. Outside of the company's Nexus lineups, only HTC's One A9 had the new environment right out of the box. In the meantime, many tech manufacturers are already developing their own Marshmallow builds for release to their devices. LG Electronics has already started rolling out its Android 6.0 updates to the G4, while HTC has already rolled out Android Marshmallow to the Google Play Edition of the One M8.
