While it has been sometime since Google released its latest version of the Android platform, many flagships are still waiting for their Android Marshmallow update. The latest news suggest that owners of the new LG V10 might receive an Android 6.0 environment soon. However, the confirmed update is only to be rolled out to T-Mobile units.

On the latest support page of T-Mobile for Android Marshmallow update, the LG V10 was recently added to the list. The new V10 joins other LG handsets that will receive their T-Mobile-tweaked, Android 6.0 update. Other LG flagships that will also make the jump to Android Marshmallow include the G3, G4, and G Stylo.

However, T-Mobile has yet to come out with a specific roll-out date for the Android 6.0 update for the LG V10. On the support page, the carrier website indicated that the file for the device's Android 6.0 OTA update is still in the Manufacturer Development, which is basically just the first stage. This means that T-Mobile and LG have just entered into an agreement to provide the V10 with a carrier-specific Android 6.0 update.

According to GottaBeMobile, the LG V10 making an update to Android 6.0 is inevitable, since the device is one of the most recent flagships released by the South Korea-based company. When the LG V10 was launched last October, fans even expected the device to already carry Android Marshmallow as its platform, since Google also made the new Android version official around that time. However, the LG V10 released with Android 5.1 Lollipop right out of the box.

The LG V10 is the South Korea-based tech manufacturer's latest entry into its premium flagship models, and carries a unique, dual-display feature. The flagship iteration has a secondary ticker on top of its main display, which features as a notification center but can also be customized to display other V10 features.
