Google's Android 7.0 Nougat operating system has finally been unleashed and premium phones are bound to be endowed with the new OS through an over-the-air update.

South Korean electronics firm LG is all set in upgrading its current banner phone, the G5, to the aforementioned OS. It has to be pointed out, though, that the company's other premium handset dubbed as the LG V20 was already preloaded with the Nougat OS when it hit the shelves almost a month ago.

Furthermore, reports say that the OnePlus 3 is expected to receive the Nougat OS before the current year ends. In the meantime, OnePlus 3 users will have the option to get the OS' beta version specially made for the said device. Those who'll be availing of the draft can play around with it and check out the added features that come alongside it. Be reminded, though, that since it's a beta build of the Nougat, users can expect glitches and bugs along the way.

However, OnePlus 3's predecessor, OnePlus 2, might be getting a snub from the new OS, though it was noted that users of the said smartphone can use a so-called Cyanogen mod as a workaround to acquire the latest Google OS.

Meanwhile, Samsung is also slated to dish out the new OS to their current flagships, as they have already released its draft under their so-called Android 7.0 Nougat Galaxy Beta program.

Google, on the other hand, has made it known the Android Nougat 7.1 patch, which is already featured on the new Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones, is said to be arriving to Nexus-branded devices. Reports also suggest that the new tweak will be supporting the company's very own virtual reality platform known as Daydream in which app makers will greatly benefit from.

Be sure to check back to see which devices will be getting the Android 7.0 Nougat update next.
