Android Marshmallow has finally reached Samsung Galaxy S5 and Huawei Honor 7 users living outside of the smartphones' home forts.

Users in Trinidad and Tobago who still rock the 2-year-old Samsung flagship are finally getting Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. It is 1.47GB in size and comes over-the-air.

Being the newer build, Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow offers additional bug fixes, stability and performance tweaks and security enhancements on the Samsung Galaxy S5.

The release of the software in Trinidad and Tobago kicks off Samsung's international Marshmallow rollout to the Samsung Galaxy S5.

That being said, owners of the 2014 flagship in other regions can expect Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow to drop sooner than later. For now, users can manually check the update's availability on the settings of the device.

Meanwhile, the Honor 7 users in Europe are also getting some Android 6.0 Marshmallow love. The tech firm has confirmed that the rollout has begun and advises that it will be done in stages.

This means that the Marshmallow won't drop in one fell swoop so Honor 7 owners will have to stay put as the update is already on its way. Some of them, however, should start receiving it.

Huawei's Europe-based outlet also promised that a download link for Android 6.0 Marshmallow will be available "from end of next week."

The company also guaranteed that "Every week to two weeks we will update more and more devices." Those with the Huawei Honor 6 will have to wait a little longer.

The Android 6.0 Marshmallow update is still in testing for the said device (at least in Europe) and is projected to be ready for public consumption by Q2.

The update for the Huawei Honor 5x is also on the agenda but Huawei Europe "can't give an exact date of delivery as of yet."

Android 6.0 Marshmallow comes with tons of battery-saving features, including the new Doze mode, which puts the Samsung Galaxy S5 and the Huawei Honor 7 in deep sleep.

There's also the new Do Not Disturb mode, Attentive Display and Google Now on Tap. The software also provides separate controls for alarm and ringtones.
