Academy Award-winning actress Anna Paquin is starring in a new television show titled "Flack," which she will also executively produce alongside her husband, actor Stephen Moyer. Paquin and Moyer were co-stars in the HBO vampire series "True Blood."

Paquin played "True Blood's" main protagonist Sookie Stackhouse, while Moyer played Sookie's lover Bill Compton, a 173-year-old vampire. "True Blood" premiered in 2008 and ended in 2014 after seven seasons.

Now, Paquin is set to take on a new role as Robyn, an American public relations officer in London.

"My character, Robyn, exists in a world where there are no moral absolutes and humor is used as a sharply executed defense mechanism to maintain the illusion of perpetual control," Paquin told Entertainment Tonight. "I am incredibly excited about tackling the creative complexities of Flack as an actress and for my company CASM's collaboration with Pop."

"Flack" is a Pop TV and UKTV production. The show is the first series to go into production for CASM Films, Paquin and Moyer's production company, and is also the first U.S.-U.K. collaborative effort between CBS-Lionsgate JV Pop and UKTV. The show was created by actor and screenwriter Oliver Lansley, who also co-wrote the BBC sitcom "Whites."

According to the show's storyline, Robyn is highly skilled as a public relations officer and is an expert at managing her clientele's public image. When it comes to managing her personal life, however, it looks like she is less adept.

While both Paquin and Moyer are executive producers for the comedy-drama, it seems that only Paquin is currently slated to star in the show. There is no word yet on whether or not Moyer will make an appearance on the show as well, or what his role will be.

Paquin rose to stardom at a young age, winning an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for role in the 1993 film "The Piano." The actress was 11 years old at the time, becoming the second-youngest Academy Award winner so far. She has since then won numerous other awards for her work, including a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress for her role as Sookie Stackhouse in "True Blood."

"Flack" begins filming this year and is set to premiere in 2019 on W.
