A new TV spot is teasing some more footage to the awesome-looking sequel to Ant-Man.

Anticipating over Ant-Man and the Wasp is building up as the movie is making its way out to theaters in a matter of weeks.

The sequel sees Hope van Dyne (Evangeline Lily) and Ant-Man (Paul Rudd) having to work together to find Hope's mom, Janet van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer), a mission that sees the Ant-Man have to return to the Quantum Realm.

But of course it wouldn't be a superhero movie if there wasn't a villain to mess up their plans and that happens when Ghost comes up against them.

It will be interesting to see where director Peyton Reed takes the story as he was given more or less a free hand by Marvel and Disney.

The teasers so far have included plenty of comedy moments in the sequel so it appears to be striking a very different tone from the somber Avengers: Infinity War

But there was a nod to the Avengers by Scott Lang in the TV spot's teaser footage as he mentions the fact that he himself is an Avenger after being sought out by Captain America - that happened back in Captain America: Civil War

In case you're getting confused about the timeline, the events that will unfold in Ant-Man and the Wasp are set before Avengers: Infinity War.

But now that Scott Lang has name-dropped the Avengers in the teaser footage, we can't help but wonder what reference there will be in the movie itself.

"Ant-Man and the Wasp" is the 20th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe but as fun as it looks, it will have to work hard to take in anywhere near what Avengers: Infinity War managed to pull in at the box office - a jaw-dropping $650m in domestic ticket sales alone.

Ant-Man and the Wasp opens in theaters on July 6th.  Check out the TV spot for yourself and see what you think!
