After the successful release of "Avengers: Age of Ultron", which raked in more than $450 million in the box office, another Marvel superhero is about to make his big screen premiere. The Ant-Man, which highlights the story of a former thief, Scott Lang (Paul Rudd), after getting recruited by Dr. Henry Pym (Michael Douglas) to be the man inside a suit that is capable of shrinking the wearer down to the size of insects while still maintaining superhuman strength, is set to be released on July 17.

Following the events of the latest Avengers movie, where Tony Stark, Iron Man and Bruce Banner, The Hulk, were revealed to be the ones who created Ultron instead of Henry Pym like what was portrayed in the comics series, it is now uncertain if and how the Ant-Man joins S.H.I.E.L.D. and Avengers, the crew of the world's mightiest superheroes. Nonetheless, the Ant-Man, based on the released plot, will proceed in accordance with the published comic storyline.

In a press conference for Ant-Man during CinemaCon, Paul Rudd revealed his intent of having his character join the Avengers. "That's up to the top brass. I'm really trying really hard to make my case for it," said Rudd in response to a question of him joining the next "Avengers movie, Avengers: Infinity War."

With the release less than a month away, the marketing for the movie is in full throttle. High-res teaser images, as well as TV spots, are getting released constantly. Most of the trailers and teasers builds up around Ant-Man's unique powers of shrinking himself down, which is a refreshing sight when compared to the shirt-destroying, vein-popping and muscle-exploding definition of strength that has been showcased since the dawn of dawn motion pictures.

A new teaser trailer for the Ant-Man has also been released in line with Father's Day. It features Scott Lang's daughter, Cassie (Abbie Ryder Fortson).
