Ant-Man trailer: Marvel unveils human-sized teaser trailer

Finally, a "human-sized" teaser trailer has been revealed for the upcoming Marvel superhero movie "Ant-Man."

In the past week, fans of Marvel's popular comic book hero were both amused and dismayed to see an "ant-sized" version of the teaser, wherein they had to squint their eyes in order to see what was in the miniscule screen. Done deliberately as a teaser to its teaser, it gave fans something to look forward to.  Marvel then released a bigger version of the trailer over the weekend, which is more visible to the human eye — and it gives moviegoers an idea on what the upcoming movie has to offer.

The teaser shows the unkempt character Scott Lang walking alongside two police officers. Then there's Hope Van Dyne who is initially seen working in a laboratory then undergoing martial arts training. Finally, fans get a glimpse of the "Ant-Man" while running through a house.

Scott Lang, portrayed by actor Paul Rudd, steals the Ant-Man suit from the original Ant-Man and his mentor Dr. Hank Pym, played by critically acclaimed actor Michael Douglas. The Ant-Man costume allows a person to shrink in size but gain supernatural strength.

Hope Van Dyne is portrayed by "Lost" actress Evangeline Lilly. Hope is the daughter of the original Ant-Man and Janet Van Dyne, also known as Wasp. Though both of her parents are members of the Avengers, Hope wants to take a different direction and be one of the nemeses named the Red Queen.

The character named Yellow Jacket is the movie's main bad guy. He is played by actor Darren Cross (Corey Stoll).

The first full-sized movie trailer is set to be released on Jan. 6, during the premiere episode of the newest ABC series, "Marvel's Agent Carter."

"Ant-Man" will hit cinemas on July 17, 2015.
