Apostleship of the Sea trustee to cycle sea to sea

Hot on the heels of Apostleship of the Sea Chairman, Eamonn Delaney's 100K fundraising trek from the Mediterranean Sea to the Sea of Galilee his fellow trustee, David Savage has decided to bike from the Irish Sea to the North Sea in a day.

The goal of the ride from Liverpool to Hull, taking place on 14 November, is to raise a £10,000.

Savage, Training & Development Manager at the Oil Companies International Marine Forum and trustee of Apostleship of the Sea, commented, "To make it a real challenge, I am aiming to complete the 150 miles within a day, much of it during the hours of darkness.

"This won't be an easy ride, but I do have sufficient motivation and concern for the plight of our seafarers to give it my best shot."

The money raised will go towards the work of Apostleship of the Sea and be used to fund projects and services around the UK that directly benefit seafarers. Savage has set up his own Just Giving page, where you can sponsor him directly.
