iPad Pro rumors and updates: 12.2-inch device to release in early 2015?

Apple iPad Air 2Apple

Rumor mills have churned enough to produce one too many details about the imagined iPad Pro, which up to now remains to be fictional. Even speculations on the device's moniker bring about the debates. The upcoming tablet was initially addressed as iPad Pro, but as weeks and months pass, others have started calling it the iPad Air Plus.

Nevertheless, word on the street is that the multi-named gadget will be jumbo-sized. Apple entered the world of large screens when it launched the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus in September and the Cupertino-based tech firm is expected to do the same with the iPad Pro, which is rumored to flaunt a 12.2- to 12.9-inch display that delivers a 2732 x 2048 screen resolution and a 265 ppi pixel density. Its processor will be a heavy-duty triple-core A8X processor, which will double the tablet's speed capacity. And take note that the A8 processor, now onboard the latest Apple tablets, is already performing high-speed. As per Mac Rumors, the mammoth tablet will be made insanely thin and measurement like 7 mm comes to the picture. Moreover, Apple may be loading it with some of the iPad Air 2's package such as 2 GB of RAM, Touch ID and 802.11ac Wi-Fi.

While media outlets are one with the forecasted specs and features, they begin to somewhat disperse when release date is brought up. The good thing though is that 2015 is always mentioned in all their conjectures and statements. Bloomberg, as cited by Mac Rumors, reported that the device will put in an appearance by early 2015. This is in line with The Wall Street Journal's claim that Apple delayed the iPad Pro's rollout to focus on the unexpected surge of demands for the Apple smartphone flagships released back in September. Meanwhile, IB Times, as reported by Tech Radar, believes that a spring release is likely. Macotakara gives a much steady launch date, which is April to June 2015. To stir it up even more, KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo reportedly predicted that Apple will not commence production of the iPad Pro until those months.

Apple has not, even one bit, put the rumors to rest. But whether or not the titanic company is working on the iPad Pro, it is best to reckon that the Cupertino firm will pack the upcoming device with the best features and specs available.
