The wonders of the biometric scanner will all be capitalized in the purported Apple iPhone 6S. According to KGI Securities analyst Ming Chi-Kuo, Apple is set to enhance the Touch ID feature and make it more accurate in the iPhone 6S so as to lessen reading errors and ultimately give users better and worry-free Apple Pay experience. 

In his research note to investors (obtained by 9to5 Mac), the Apple expert also calculated that the Touch ID fingerprint sensor shipments will radically swell up this year. By the numbers, Kuo is looking at a cosmic 262 million units — a whopping 77 percent increase from last year (148 million). On top of that, the Taiwan-based analyst also claimed that the home button in iPhones is here to stay regardless of the Apple patents that facilitate the embedding of the Touch ID sensor in the devices' display. 

"Though Apple has filed patents for the integration of Touch ID and touch panel, this isn't likely to bear fruit near term as complex algorithms and sapphire cover lens are also required. We therefore don't see any impact on supply chain momentum," Kuo said. 

Kuo is a reputed Apple analyst with a track record that is second to none. His predictions regarding Apple offerings and sales performances are on the nail most of the time. Assuming he hits this one right on the mark, then Apple's impetus in the market is bound to reach its all-time high and the tech firm's maximum is still further along. 

The iPhone 6S is expected to be released in September this year, as this is the window most of the Cupertino giant's products come out. But what does Kuo have to say about this? He did not forget to indicate in his report that the new iPhone will be out in the third quarter of 2015. So September is a pretty decent guess.
