Apple iPhone 7 leaks: 3 GB RAM and waterproof capabilities seen for flagship?

Although it hasn't been long since the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus were released, details about the Apple iPhone 7 have started to leak. The newest morsels of info to come around prove that the flagship will indeed be one redoubtable smartphone.

A new report suggests that the newest mobile offering out of Cupertino will be waterproof. If this will indeed be the case, the upcoming iPhone will be the very first in its lineup to boast such impermeable feature. According to Techno Buffalo, this feat is entirely possible.

Waterproof phones aren't the thing of the future and Apple could certainly whip up a waterproof iPhone 7 as many tech firms have already done that. In the past, there were also reports about the feature coming to an iPhone. The aforesaid site also believes that it would be a key selling point.

Another alleged upgrade Apple will be giving the new-gen handset will be bigger internal memory. According to reports, the Cupertino-based tech firm is bumping up the RAM to 3 GB. This is 1 GB more than what the iPhone 6s duo has.

According to Techno Buffalo, this report corroborates the calculation of KGI Securities analyst and reliable China-based Apple expert Ming-Chi Kuo, who also claimed that the Apple iPhone 7 will offer a higher amount of internal memory.

Although Kuo has a good track record with Apple forecasts and is known to have correctly predicted most of Apple's future plans, it remains unclear if such RAM upgrade will take place. However, like a waterproof iPhone 7, Apple has all the means to slot in 3 GB RAM on the iPhone 7.

It also seems like an increase RAM amount has become a necessary upgrade for smartphones through the years so it wouldn't be surprising to see Apple working to make the iPhone 7 relevant and giving it the features the device's predecessors didn't offer.
