A lot of fans are still upset about the lack of updates on the Apple Watch 2. However, a lot of rumors are now saying that September is probably the best time for this much-anticipated device's release.

According to the Digitimes, it is expected of this device to debut along with the upcoming iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. The reason for this is that, recently, a rise in the necessary components as well as the chips needed for the Apple Watch were observed. Furthermore, the September release is more plausible due to the fact that Apple usually releases its newest innovations around this time.

Vine Report, however, states that Apple still has not made any official announcements about this device. Regardless, it is not really uncommon for this Cupertino-based tech company to do things this way, like ensuring their silence even when their fans are already on to them. If that isn't the case, this next generation smartwatch will most likely see its release by next year, which will certainly incite discontent among the more die-hard fans of the product.

As for its specs, a lot of reports indicate that the watch will be slimmer and lighter, but appearance-wise it won't really be different compared to its predecessor. Its most interesting feature, however, might be the integration of a micro-LED screen, which certainly deviates from the OLED display of the previous watch. Furthermore, with the device rumored to have a built-in GPS chip, it is now expected for the device to work even without an iPhone connection. With this, users can now track their activities even without the aid of the iPhone.

Lastly, some fans are also speculating of the possibility of getting innate cellular capabilities for the Apple Watch 2, even if it is just limited to calls and sending SMS. After all, the first one needed a paired iPhone before it can be used for this function.
