The Apple Watch is rumored to get a successor but reports conflict on when that is going to happen. Previous reports claim that the Apple Watch 2 will come later this year while a new report from an internal chain supplier in South Korea says the timepiece won't be here until next year. 

According to the latter, Apple will stick with LG as its supplier of the new wearable's display. The Apple Watch dons the LG-made P-OLED flexible display and the Cupertino-based tech giant reportedly thinks of getting the company's services once more for the new iteration of its chartbusting product. 

This comes as a surprise to many as Apple is known to enlist various tech firms to work on the components of its devices as they evolve. However, the report reasons that the company has yet to find another manufacturer that can work on the displays so it has to continue with LG. 

With this, LG is up for another money-making feat with the Apple Watch 2. Ikream says that Apple's suppliers generate copious amounts of profits simply because of the overwhelming demand and shipment for Apple's devices. LG will reportedly be up for more if Apple disengages from Samsung altogether. 

The same site claims that Apple is shying away from having Samsung hop on board knowing that they are big competitors in the industry. What this means is that Apple might enlist LG's services more. 

Since LG is the leading tech firm when it comes to smartwatch displays, Apple won't go wrong giving it another go with the company. Apple has yet to comment on the matter, but for now, wearable-loving users can take comfort in knowing Apple Watch 2 is indeed in the making.
