Will the Mickey Mouse-themed interface change the teens' minds about the Apple Watch?Apple

March 9 is a big day for Apple and its many users as this would be the day that the Apple Watch would be formally shown. The event will kick off at 10 a.m. at the San Francisco's Yerba Buena Center for the Arts with the device expected to go on sale starting April. The base model is expected to retail for about $350.

Folks have had the chance to catch a glimpse of the Apple Watch when the iPhone 6 was launched. Initially, the watch was seen as something that would showcase health and fitness features although it seems that such had been shelved due to inconsistencies. If you missed that post, you can find it here.

Regardless of that setback, the Apple Watch is still expected to draw interest from consumers and techies. The watch will feature a touchscreen and is expected to be a water-resistant device.

Moreover, Apple believes that the Apple Watch is a new device that will be embraced by millions. Aside from the fact that it would be another first for Apple, the device can work as well with Apple's current roster of devices such as the iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus and the iPhone 5 series.

But would the event be solely about the iWatch?

Some are hoping and speculating that other devices could be revealed as well. Among them include the latest MacBook Air and maybe even a bigger iPad.

But of course all these are speculations and being a special event, hopes are high that there would be more Apple devices to be shown aside from the much awaited Apple Watch.

Folks who plan to watch the event live can do so via the Apple website. The event will be kicked off by a keynote speech at 10 a.m. Pacific Time.

Alternatively, you can also watch it via CNET's live stream here where the pre-show starts at 9 a.m. Pacific Time.
