Apple Watch rumors: T-Mobile, Sprint to sell Apple Watch starting Sept. 25?

Reuters

The iPhone 6S and 6S Plus are expected to be launched starting Sept. 25 but it looks like at least two carriers will be offering something more than the latest Apple smartphones.

Word has it that T-Mobile and Sprint will be offering the Apple Watch as well, seen as the perfect opportunity to ramp up sales seeing the compatibility that the Apple wearable has with the latest Apple handsets.

The Apple Watch has been slowly expanding its niche and making itself available from other retailers like Best Buy and Apple stores so this rumored move could be a good one to allow people who want to get hold of this wearable accessory.

T-Mobile CEO John Lengere did announce that the company would be selling the Apple Watch soon, although he didn't exactly stress when. The latest word from Mac Rumors is the closest thus far so it would be wise to keep an eye out this coming week when the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus do come out.

As far as pricing is concerned, there is no official word either for now on how much T-Mobile would be offering the Apple Watch for.

Assuming, however, that they are priced similar to how much Apple has been offering them for, the Apple Watch could likely retail for about $350 to $400 for the Apple Watch Sport, while the Apple Watch could run between $550 to $600. The difference in price is largely because of the difference in watch face size.

If the Apple Watch does get offered by T-Mobile and Sprint, it would be to the benefit of people who are having a hard time getting hold of the said wearable.

The Apple Watch was previously offered only via Apple stores and retail boutiques. The incremental expansion should be welcome news and the market may just get bigger if T-Mobile and Sprint officially offer it.

Could Verizon and AT&T be far behind?
