Apple Watch pre-order start time on April 10

Apple’s official website

The Apple Watch's shadow looms over the horizon and the real deal will be ready for everyone's wrist on April 24. Needless to say, Apple Inc. is already setting up a pre-order system for the most-awaited, heavily-hyped smartgear.

At exactly 12:01 a.m. PDT (3:01 a.m. EDT) on April 10, Apple enthusiasts will be able to pre-order the Apple Watch on the company's website. Every market that will have the Apple Watch at launch will be following the same date and time.

On the same day, the Cupertino-based company will also conduct demos of the device through its retail stores, which will showcase actual Apple Watch units for shoppers to try out. Customers can also order from there. However, the availability of the product on the launch date is not guaranteed.

Ahead of the affair, users can browse the manifold designs of the Apple Watch on the website and as they come across one they like, they can highlight the heart next to the design of their choice. This is a way of bookmarking the model to their account so pre-ordering it on Friday will be buttery smooth.

Apple has also cooked up "Guided Tours," a feature on the Apple Watch webpage that allows users to experience the device through virtual demonstrations of its features.

To reiterate, the Apple Watch comes in three models — Watch Sport, Watch, and Watch Edition. These flavors all have several more styles and price range that will cater to different buyers of the tech timepiece. The most economical price one can pay for an Apple Watch unit is $349, which is around £299. That is the most basic model of the device. The most expensive model that will be up for grabs costs around $17,000, which translates to £13,500.

The Apple Watch will officially be available to the market on April 24.
