After his introduction in "Justice League," Jason Momoa's Arthur Curry is starring in his own solo film, "Aquaman," this year. DC and Warner Bros. have yet to release a trailer for the film but fans may not have to wait longer for the footage.

That Hashtag Show reported earlier this week that the first trailer will debut later this month as part of the programming for WonderCon Anaheim 2018. It is expected to premiere during the Warner Bros. panel on Saturday, March 24 between 12:25 and 1:10 pm. It will join the new trailers for "Ready Player One" and "Teen Titans Go!" which will be released during the event.

Fans are setting the bar high for "Aquaman," following reports of its test screening reviews last month. As previously reported, the movie allegedly got positive reception behind the scenes, specifically for its solid action and emotional story. More reactions posited the film is nothing less than fantastic.

Batman News described it as tonally similar to "Wonder Woman" – complete with humor, drama, as well as horror elements, this being James Wan's movie. It can be noted that the director has made a name in helming horror flicks like "The Conjuring," "Insidious," and "Saw," among others.

Fans should note though, that early reactions are no exact indication of its actual critical and box office performance. Previous entries to the DC Extended Universe such as "Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice," "Suicide Squad," and even "Justice League" all had positive reviews at their test screenings only to be received badly upon release. Thus, it is best to take the recent reports with a grain of salt.

"Aquaman" dives into theaters on Dec. 21, starring Momoa as the titular superhero; Amber Heard as his love interest, Mera; and Patrick Wilson as the primary antagonist Orm/Ocean Master. Dolph Lundgren, Willem Defoe, and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II are also appearing as King Nereus, Nuidis Vulko, and Black Manta, respectively.
