Emma (Emma Dumont) will have to prove her loyalty to the Mason cult in the upcoming episode of NBC's period crime drama series "Aquarius."

In "It's Alright, Ma (I'm Only Bleeding)," TV.com reports that Charlie (Gethin Anthony) will test Emma's devotion to the cause. Shafe (Grey Damon) will prove himself on the Guapo case as he goes deeper into the criminal world, while Hodiak (David Duchovny) will help a fellow detective with a secret to keep.

Last episode, viewers saw Shafe, covered in blood, telling Hodiak he did not want to blow his cover in the drug trafficking operation by appearing in court for Jimmy Butano's murder. Charmain (Claire Holt) was also a witness to a crime, where she saw her fellow police officers killed by a hooded gunman while they were having breakfast at a coffee shop. 

Deeply shaken about what happened, it was Hodiak who pulled Charmain from her catatonic state and she managed to give him a lead on the shooter — the description of the getaway car and that he was white. Later in the night, two more officers were murdered, while the entire force scrambled to hunt the killer.

Shafe told Hodiak that they could use the Black Panther's influence in the neighborhood to catch the culprit. He convinced the group's leader that helping the police on this case would lessen their presence in the area. The deal was made, and the team was led to the residence of Glen Lesick (Adam Dunnells). It was obvious from the start that the man was the killer, and when he was about to blow out Shafe's brain, Hodiak nabbed him.

Proving Lesick's guilt in court, however, was proving to be difficult. His lawyer latched on the fact that they had no hard evidence linking Lesick to the crime. That was when Hodiak told Charmain to lie and testify that she recognized Lesick at the coffee shop although he was wearing a mask. 

Later in a bar, Hodiak was nursing a margarita. What he did not know was Mason had his girls slip something into his drink to try and open the detective's mind.

Meanwhile, TV Guide reports that "Aquarius" has been renewed for a second season by NBC. The current installment airs Saturday at 9 p.m. EST.
