However, even though these two teams are clearly the giants of the CONMEBOL World Cup qualifiers, both gave gotten off to poor starts to their campaigns so far.

Brazil managed to gain a solid 3-1 win over Venezuela, but followed that up with a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Chile.

Meanwhile, Argentina fell to a 2-0 defeat to Ecuador before playing out a 0-0 stalemate with Paraguay.

That means both teams have a lot of work to do, and a loss for either on Friday will spark some concern among fans.

Neymar had been forced to sit out the past four games for Brazil after a suspension from the Copa America tournament, but he is back for today's match and that will be a massive boost for his team.
