Developer Studio Wildcard has finally released the highly anticipated update for the console version of "Ark: Survival Evolved." It brought a lot of interesting things, one of which is a major overhaul on the in-game UI. Players on both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One have also acquired new TEK structures and a total of four new creatures.

According to GameSpot, the "Ark: Survival Evolved" update (v256) on the console platform was first introduced via a trailer. Almost all of the features revolve around the sophisticated TEK Tier, which is basically a sci-fi-themed endgame content. It allows players to breed water-based beasts and create structures meant for underwater exploration.

The update also gives players the chance to utilize power generators, so they can fuel their respective underwater structures. They even have access to teleporter pads for them to travel within the island more quickly and efficiently. It's worth noting, however, that these are quite "expensive," as iterated by a press release from the studio.

In update v256 of "Ark: Survival Evolved," obtaining TEK Tier loot is possible. However, there's a catch — it basically involves the gathering of Element resource. The latter has just been recently introduced by the video game company and is handed out to the players after defeating various Boss Arenas.

As for the four new dinos in the game, it includes a tameable ancient hours and a huge fish. Players can also expect a seagull and an herbivorous creature, thanks to the aforementioned update. Lastly, a new set of weapons have also been added. It should be noted that all these changes and stuff have arrived to the PC platform first.

Express, on the other hand, reports that the video game company plans to make volcanos active in "Ark: Survival Evolved." This basically means that players have to ready themselves for several disruptions. In fact, in the PC version of the game, various warning zones have already been added.
