The Nintendo Switch game, "Arms," will be getting another update before the year ends. A new character will be added to the game as well.

This much was revealed by Video Gamer. Apparently, the upcoming update will be the game's fifth to date. Also, in Nintendo's announcement on their official UK Twitter account, the company uploaded a 32-second video that showcased a brand new "freaky-ish" character. The character is still unnamed, however, and has yet to reveal his face.

Previously, Nintendo's "update 4" to "Arms" added a new brawler named "Misango." Barely two weeks after, "update 4.1" for the Switch game added "Springtron" to the game's roster of fighters.

With "Misango and "Springtron," there are now currently 14 characters in the game. These are the following: The boxer "Spring Man"; the pop star "Ribbon Girl"; "Ninjara" the student ninja; a resurrected mummy named "Mummy"; and "Min Min," a poster model for her family's ramen restaurant.

Other character players can pick include these: the girl in a mechanical suit "Mechanica"; the movie star "Twintelle"; "Byte & Barq," a robotic police and his K9 companion; the professional "snake" boarder "Kid Cobra"; "Helix" a lab experiment; commissioner of Arms League "Max Brass"; and; a clown named "Lola Pop."

"Arms" is a fighting game released exclusively for the Nintendo Switch. The game was released worldwide on June 16, 2017. Unlike most fighting games, "Arms" offers combat between four players. These players have to use the game character's extendable arms to knock out opponents on a three-dimensional arena.

Nintendo currently has limited games available for the Switch, this includes "Arms," "L.A. Noire," "The Legend of Zelda: Breathe of the Wild," "Super Mario Odyssey," "Mario Kart 8 Deluxe," and "Monopoly," to name a few. This, however, will change in 2018 as more games are scheduled to be released and ported to the console.

Nintendo has not yet announced a release date yet for "Arms'" fifth update.
