After a long and hard struggle to establish itself in the world of entertainment, the Netflix original series "Arrested Development" is finally coming back for another season. Critically acclaimed for its humor and plot, season 5 of "Arrested Development" is reportedly in the making.

The series was originally aired by FOX and ran for three seasons from 2003 to 2006. After the last season garnered disappointing ratings, FOX canceled "Arrested Development." But because of its reputation and the fact that the fans made enough noise to gain the attention of Netflix, "Arrested Development" season 4 was released last 2013 with 15 episodes. Now, 14 years after it first aired, the show is back with a fifth season.

"Horrible Bosses" and "Zootopia" actor Jason Bateman announced the upcoming season on Twitter.

"Look very probable I'm going to put some miles on the Stair Car this summer. Just officially signed on to more Arrested Development today," posted Bateman.

"Arrested Development" revolves around Bateman's character named Michael Bluth who was tasked to take over the family affairs after his father was imprisoned. The show revolves around Michael struggling to take care of his formerly wealthy family while attempting to support them despite their habitual dysfunctional qualities.

"Arrested Development" features a long line of stars including Ellen DeGeneres' wife Portia de Rossi, who plays Lindsay Bluth, the twin sister of Bateman's character.

"I love Arrested Development, but it was never a huge thing," executive producer Brian Grazer said almost two years ago, as quoted by Coming Soon. "But people are loyal to it, and we're going to do another 17 episodes. So stay tuned for Arrested Development."

Netflix and Twentieth Century Fox Television have yet to announce all the remaining details of "Arrested Development" season 5. But in the meantime, fans can watch all the previous seasons on Netflix.
