'Arrow' season 4 plot: Audition transcripts for new villain leaked

For a while now, fans are convinced that Oliver Queen will be pitted against his most formidable adversary yet in "Arrow" season 4. Damien Darkh's name was dropped in the latter episodes of season 3, when Ra's Al Ghul told Oliver about the existence of his nemesis and his hive of followers.

It looks like Damien Darkh's greater presence will be felt in the show's fourth season. Just recently, Comicbook.com obtained transcripts of two footages of actors vying for the role of a villainous character named Simon, who the site believes is a placeholder name for Darkh to keep his identity a secret.

The first scene depicts Simon talking to Oliver, presumably after having him abducted. The character tells the latter that he is someone not to mess with and that the "other pretenders" such as Slade and Malcolm are not all like him and that Ra's himself feared him.

In the second scene, this Simon casually chats with a frightened-to-death man who begs him to spare his life. The villain shows repulsion over the man's lack of self-respect and shares how he himself was once in this vulnerable position — something he resolved by severing his ties with family and friends.

Although nothing is confirmed yet, the background and the circumstances depicted in the scenes hint that Simon could very well be Damien Darkh. He was at the end of Ra's sword and mercy when he was in the League (Ra's failed to kill him) and Ra's was also after him in the season 3 finale.

Fans would want to learn whether or not Damien Darkh will be the big baddie in "Arrow" season 4 during the upcoming San Diego Comic Con in July. The convention will be a super-charged night of heroes and villains with DC Entertainment confirmed to grace the event to talk about its small screen universe.

The company will show up with updates on the upcoming seasons of "The Flash," "Gotham" and "Arrow" as well as exciting previews on "Supergirl" and "Legends of Tomorrow." The action-packed affair will happen on July 11 in Hall H of the San Diego Convention Center in San Diego, California.

"Arrow" season 4, on the other hand, will premiere in fall.
