There were more questions than answers when "Arrow" ended its third run. It feels like it is the end of the road for the archer's crusade as a happy Oliver drove off to the sunset with Felicity. Fans cannot figure out if Ollie will ever don the green garb once more and how the show will go on if he won't. 

In an interview with E! Online, actor Stephen Amell revealed that "Arrow is done. No more Arrow suit," adding that he has "worn it for the last time."

However, it won't be that easy. Cinema Blend believes that the actor's statement pertains to season 3 only. 

Amell previously admitted that he has no idea what happens next in "Arrow" and it looks like none of the cast has the slightest idea what's in store in the show's season 4 either. However, it is already rumored that Damien Darkh and his terror group called H.I.V.E. are the heroes' next adversaries. 

The season 3 finale touched on Damien Darkh's exploits, which are so terrifying that Oliver will be compelled to suit up again. This, on top of Malcolm Merlyn's potential tomfoolery as the new Demon's Head. 

Although the fearless archer deserves a vacation, it is highly unlikely that it will be a permanent one. The question is how Ollie will return to continue his crusade as the Arrow when he seems to be so resolute in living a normal life with the woman he loves so dearly. 

On the other hand, Coast City, which the couple retreated to for a new life sans crime-fighting, also happens to be the home of Green Lantern. It is heavily believed that Diggle, who fights and goes into the field without any "concealment," will finally get to wear a mask — one that belongs to the protector of peace and justice. 

Meanwhile, "Arrow" executive producer Marc Guggenheim has a lot to say about the show's change of tone come season 4. Talking to io9, he revealed that the season's dark premise, which was kicked off with Sara's death, has to be consistent, adding that there is nothing wrong with going dark.

However, season 4 opens up a chance for the production team, who has been working on developing the new run for a month now, to craft the continuation of the story into something that will "take a lighter tone." 

"Every year you want to mix things up and there was sort of a collective desire on all of our parts to try to inject a little bit more lightness into the show, a little bit more humor. It's not going to radically change. The show's still going to be the show but in terms of tone we're coming off a very very hard season for all of our characters. We wanted to try to mix it up a little bit," Guggenheim said. 

"Arrow" season 4 will premiere later this year.
