'Arrow' season 4 spoilers: Stephen Amell discusses change and Oliver-Felicity relationship

Stephen Amell as Oliver Queen aka the ArrowCW

Actor Stephen Amell recently sat down for an interview with The TV Junkies about "Arrow" season 4, and one of the main aspects of the discussion was the significance of change. According to the actor, season 4 will introduce some changes to the series, including the dynamics of the characters and how they interact with each other.

"It still feels like our show but there are different elements that I think people are going to enjoy," the actor told the media outlet. "We get to see some characters interact that weren't always the closest of friends or interacting on a regular basis which is neat when you're doing new stuff in the fourth season of a show."

According to a report from Cinema Blend, this could hint toward more interactions with Thea Queen (Willa Holland) with the rest of Team Arrow, particularly with Diggle (David Ramsey). Season 3 ended with Thea picking up the Arsenal suit after Roy Harper (Colton Haynes) left the show and is now a major player in the crime-fighting group.

Roy Harper's departure also sealed the end of the vigilante known as Arrow. It has been hinted — and speculated by fans — that if Oliver Queen comes back to the crime-fighting business in season 4, he may be known as the Green Arrow, sporting a lighter, more cheerful tone than the brooding vigilante he was before.

Amell also touched on Oliver Queen's relationship with Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards). The two quit Team Arrow at the end of season 3 but it is expected of them to return in season 4 when they are forced to fight a new villain, Damien Darhk.

When asked if they had any chance of getting a happy ending together, the actor stated, "Well you never know, but I think if anyone has a decent chance it's Oliver and Felicity. Time will tell."

"Arrow" season 4 premieres this Oct. 7.
