'Arrow' season 4 spoilers: Is Thea in trouble?

Stephen Amell as Oliver Queen aka the ArrowCW

As fans hang on for "Arrow" season 4, series lead Stephen Amell helps them get through the grueling wait by talking to them through social media to answer questions about what's next for Oliver Queen after hanging his green hood and bow and choosing a life free of crime-fighting and full of Felicity.

One fan requested Amell to describe the season 4 premiere in three words, to which he responded, "What's wrong Speedy?" Since Speedy is Oliver's nickname for his little sister, this hints that Thea may be going through some trouble that she can only get out of with the help of her brother.

This may be the defining reason that will compel Oliver to steer away from the sunset and back to his vigilante life. After all, he was prepared to become the Demon's Head just to save his sister, who is the only family he has left. So Thea may just be the magnet to pull Oliver back to Starling City.

Amell also revealed that episode 1 of season 4 is set five or six months after everything that transpired, saying, "Time has passed. Like the standard amount of time. We go in real-time, like we normally do. So, about five, six months have passed since the finale."

He also said that fans will be in for some major shockers and stunners in the new season. That means that in those months, Speedy and the rest of what's left of Team Arrow are the ones roving around the city to protect it.

"[My jaw] legitimately [dropped twice]. I emailed/ texted Marc Guggenheim directly after reading the Season 4 premiere with three or four very pointed questions. Which he answered ... mostly," the actor went on to say.

There isn't much known about the plot other than the presumed larger focus on H.I.V.E. and its leader, Damien Darkh. New details and spoilers are expected to be revealed during the upcoming San Diego Comic Con.

"Arrow" season 4 will premiere in October.
