"Arrow" season 3 episode 19, "Broken Arrow," saw the departure of series' regular Colton Haynes. Haynes, who portrayed the vigilante Roy Harper aka Arsenal, exited the series now that his contract is over and his character was given a fake death that would allow him to possibly return to the series in future installments.

Episode 20, "The Fallen," will now focus on the other character that may or may not exit the show: Thea Queen, played by Willa Holland. During the previous episode, she had a quick encounter against Ra's a Ghul (Matt Nable) which ended with Ra's stabbing her to death with his sword.

The promotional trailer for "The Fallen" shows Team Arrow taking Thea's body to the Lazarus Pit in Nanda Parbat where Oliver (Stephen Amell) intends to bring her back to life. The trailer shows Thea's body descending into the waters of the Pit but cuts right when it appears that she bursts back into life.

Fans of the DC universe will recall that several other characters have been brought back to life in this manner, such as Jason Todd aka the second Robin. Todd was murdered by the Joker and was revived in the Lazarus Pit only to become an insane homidical psychopath that still had the martial arts training and detective skills taught by Batman.

It is speculated that Thea Queen may also undergo psychological changes due to the shock of dying and being revived.

According to a Reddit post, cited by the IBTimes, "R'as al Ghul will capture Thea and threaten to murder her if Oliver doesn't take the offer, so Amell's character has no choice but to accept." Perhaps reviving Thea will be the bargaining key to force Oliver to become the leader of the League of Assassins.

The official synopsis also states that while the rest of Team Arrow is dealing with Ra's, Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards) would be taking things into her own hands.

Episode 20, "The Fallen," airs on April 22, 2015.
