'Arrow' season 3 : Holding Fort while Queen is away in new episode 'Uprising'

Oliver Queen aka the Arrow is still in the recovery stages after being stabbed by Ra's al Ghul which leaves the protection of Starling City in disarray. With a new villain in Danny Brickwell who plans to take over the Glades, the city is left in the hands of an unlikely character which has suddenly been resurrected in the person of her sister – Canary II.

Queen surprisingly survives despite being stabbed and kicked at the side of the hill by Ra, something which Tatsu explains was made possible because of his will to live and the cold climate.

With no Arrow around, Queen's team at Starling City are in shambles until Laurel suddenly steps up to try and make a stand against the new uprising. He and Roy (Arsenal) try to hold fort which initially started out as a failure.

After tracking down Brick, Laurel and Roy try to save the kidnapped aldermen but fail. One of the aldermen gets killed by Brick, leaving Laurel to reflect on whether she could truly continue what her sister (Sara) fought for before her murder.

But with Felicity back in the game, the team tries to make one more stand against Brick. With two remaining aldermen at his mercy, the villain asks the Mayor to pull out the entire police force in the Glades in exchange for their lives.

By this time, Felicity has returned to get the team back together, tracing the whereabouts of Brick by using the heart pacemakers of one of the aldermen. Roy and Canary successfully rescue the aldermen from the clutches of Brick.

In the ending, Felicity tends to his regular job with Ray Palmer, providing him with a missing chip which could make his exo-suit work.
As for Thea, it seems that people are not always whom they seem with his DJ over at the Verdant. Apparently the DJ turns out to be a spy for the league and is in close communication with Maseo.

Olive Queen is expected to return in the next episode title "Uprising". Below is a preview for that coming episode.
