The upcoming season of the widely received American superhero series, "Arrow", has been surrounded by countless speculations on the possible plots and additional characters.

Some fans believe that the third season of the highly anticipated series will be featuring thrilling new characters. Among these speculations, however, the most popular appears to be the belief of followers of the addicting hit TV show that season 3 will be including an Arrow-The Flash crossover. Apart from this rumor, avid fans of the show seem to be actively pushing for the much awaited "Olicity" romance. Speculations regarding a possible costume upgrade for the show's star, Oliver Queen, are also surfacing. Most of these rumors had been addressed in the interviews and press conferences of the show's stars.

In a Q&A session held by the "Arrow" cast, the show's executive producer Marc Guggenheim willingly shared tidbits of information to the fans. The members of the cast who took part of the conference were Stephen Amell (Oliver Queen/Green Arrow), Colton Hayes (Roy Harper), David Ramsey (John Diggle), John Barrowman (Malcolm Merlyn), Willa Holland (Thea Queen), Emily Bett Rickards (Felicity Smoak), Paul Blackthorne (Detective Quentin Lance), and Caity Lotz (Sara Lance/The Canary).

When asked by eager followers of the superhero action series to cite exciting news about the show, Amell shared that a new suit is being designed for Arrow in the upcoming season.

"Suit upgrade is coming. There is going to be new stuff added to the suit at some point this season," Amell disclosed.

Apart from the suit upgrade, which fans eagerly wait to be unveiled, the rumored crossover of Arrow and The Flash also fueled the excitement for the next season. In fact, Guggenheim actually provided confirmation regarding this information.

In an interview with Comicbook, the show's producer gave a definite response to the lingering question regarding the alleged crossover. Guggenheim disclosed to fans that they should watch out for the crossover on the eighth episode Arrow season 3.

Another source, E Online, claimed that the season might center on the disastrous date of Oliver and Felicity. The episode for this theme might be their premiere episode, which will be called "The Calm". According to the report, "The Calm" episode will commence with a romantic date between the two.

To provide addition details on the disastrous date episode between Oliver and Felicity, Arrow executive producer Andrew Kreisberg shared some possible lines.

"There's actually a line in the script where after you see what happens on the date, she (Felicity) even says, 'That was still not my worst date!'"

In addition, Kreisberg shared that the third season will possibly focus on Oliver's endeavor to cope with his two simultaneous lives. "So much of this season as a whole is about Oliver trying to figure out if he can be both Oliver Queen and the Arrow and finding out if there's a life for himself beyond the hood," she said.

Kreisberg also shared that Oliver Queen will be struggling with challenges he has never encountered before. Moreover, Oliver will be facing an enemy as "dangerous and diabolical" as any he has ever fought in the past. She also disclosed that this season's challenges will be the "toughest" throughout Oliver's life.

The third season of the modern-day retelling of the life of the DC Comic character Green Arrow will premiere on October 8, 2014.
