Colton Haynes was last seen in season 3 of "Arrow," posing as the actual Arrow and eventually faking his death. He has since left Team Arrow, although he was never really completely written off.

But it looks like the guy who played Roy Harper aka Arsenal is making a return as a guest star in episode 12 which will air in February 2016, although it remains to be seen what storyline Haynes will be taking on in the show.

In his last appearance, Harper took off but Thea (Willa Holland) caught up with him. Harper would eventually give Thea his costume which led to her becoming Speedy.

As explained by executive producer Marc Guggenheim to Entertainment Weekly, plans to bring back Haynes had always been in the books as long as there's opportunity. Right now, it remains to be seen what Haynes will be portraying, although it may rekindle some spark between him and Thea who had a thing going before.

Haynes' character could be called upon to provide some backup to the ever-growing clan of Team Arrow, especially with Oliver Queen's (Stephen Amell) current nemesis Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough) growing powerful and in numbers.

But Haynes' return is likely to be sparked by something involving Thea as well, who continues to have control issues while campaigning for Oliver as well. Could his one-episode be a flashback or something related to the planned crossover next week?

All that remains to be seen and will depend on the new twists that could crop up in the coming episodes.

Right now, Arrow fans are eager to check out the two-part crossover between "Arrow" and "The Flash." The first installment of the two-part series will kick off in "The Flash" on Dec. 1, while the concluding second part will happen on "The Arrow" on Dec. 2 on The CW.
